Classroom

This is my Super Improver's Wall! My student's loved the "Rock Star" theme. I got this awesome set from Teachers Pay Teachers. Each student has a guitar. They have to get 10 "strings" (which I draw with a marker) up the neck of the guitar in order to move levels. Some of the levels have a surprise!

This is my Word Wall. Here we will add words throughout the year. Right now it has sightwords from Kindergarten. We also play games with the Word Wall!

I love this area!! It has my Whole Brain Rules and Posters for the Big Seven. I have my calendar, schedule and our daily journal prompt up here as well. I use the clock on occasion to discuss time during our "class meeting". Below this board is my What's My Place, What's My Value area. It is a wonderful program that our school is implementing this year.

Another favorite area is our classroom
Library. I brought in my old couch from college, a rug
from Wal-Mart and zebra print contact paper to cover the
back of a bookcase. I have my books labeled my type, and they have color stickers for lexile numbers. The lamp makes this area super cozy!!

These are my Daily 5 and Math Center posters. I have them hung up as a reminder to the students. I got the Daily 5 posters from Teachers Pay Teachers and I made the Math Center posters.

This is my PowerPix wall. I have reading on the left and math on the right. I have my letters on the bottom and my numbers on the left. I love how I can incorporate graphing when finding the PowerPix. I can't wait to put some up on our wall. I am still working on getting my PowerPix label for the board. I very sweet parent is making it for me.
The green space is for the Common Core Standards we have mastered as a class. I printed them from Teachers Pay Teachers. The bins below that board house all of our math supplies. My stool fits perfectly in the little hole, I was still working when I took this picture.
On the right is a picture of my classroom jobs. I got the set from our local teacher store (teachers-exchange.com). It went perfectly with my black and neon theme.

This is my writing board. I LOVE this board so much!! At the top I have punctuation posters. Then I printed "Do You Have A Writer's Eye" from Teachers Pay Teachers. I also have what they can write, some common misspelled words and ideas. I know you are wondering, "Where is your Genius Ladder?!?!!?" It is coming, I promise!!! I haven't introduced it yet, but I have it.
